Moore 68 – Glossop 12

Moore’s back line dominated proceedings against Glossop as they scored 10 tries in an awesome display of attacking Rugby at Moss Lane.

Hat tricks for Joe Pidgeon and Sam Craven were topped off by a double for Matt Bradshaw and a try apiece for Craig Millington and Henry Frankling.

With the two sides having wildly different experiences of life in Division 3 South after being promoted from last year, the result was perhaps somewhat unsurprising as Glossop have consistently struggled this year.

Moore’s backs, aided by unseasonal good weather, were able to utilise an excellent deal of pace in the team. Time and again the Moore backs were able to outpace their opponents and chase through on to excellent weighted kicks provided by Matt Bradshaw.

Moore’s all round game was a joy to behold, with the Forwards providing excellent platforms to play off thanks to excellent work at the breakdown. The Defensive work that Moore put in during the game was also of the highest standard, as time and again Glossop were held close to the Moore tryline, only for excellent work to repeal them coming from all quarters.

With a number of high scoring wins over the past weeks, it should come as no surprise that the men from Moss Lane are amongst the highest scorers in the league, with only top of the table Anselmians and Lymm Eagles having scored more points. With attacking displays of Rugby such as this one, there are growing whispers about the possibility of back to back promotions at the club.

The result sees Moore solidify their position of 5th, but are now just 3 points behind 2nd placed Manchester.
